Adding Filters & Other Stuff Maybe

Hi, I'm pretty new to circuiting bending and don't know too much about electronics.

Is it possible to add something like let's say a low pass filter and maybe other kind of components typically used in keyboards to "enhance" the sound?

If you think this would work, what are some components that might work, and where can I buy them?
