well, not exactly... I didn't know I was using the wrong adaptor for it and while rewinding a cassette it made a really loud POP! and I swear something flew out and hit my brow... It actually still plays and everything but when I turn the volume up past a certain point it has this really low, bassy droning... and it changes as I move the wheel higher... Do any of you recognize the problem? I may want to replace whatever the hell I blew up... It's not too bad because at least it still works... and hell, I just have another noise-producing broken thing now! It's cool to just have it playing through lots of effects (Because I'm not going to pay up to $100 for a "white noise" pedal... what a waste of money!) Anwyas... I looked inside at the circuit but couldn't pull it up to see the bottom with all the capacitors and things so I'm not sure what I did... either way, it's nothing serious... I just feel sort of bad about it because it was a gift. hah...... anywho, I am going on a trip with some family tomorrow so I may not be able to see any responses for a while but I'll check back when I get to.

I bought a little tape/radio for £1 at a car boot sale. It was only after I modified the tape deck, I realised it was broke.
Though, if I do want a VERY annoying squeal, I know where to go to.
