Today I threw together a microphone from an old pair of head phones and a speaker from a toy keyboard. It works fine, but it's really quiet when I record with it. Is there a way to boost the volume at all? Or can I put some sort of fx pedal to boost it at least? (I image it would be louder hooked up to an amp, but for recording IDK. Thanks.
edit: also, can anyone share some really (really) simple amp schematics with me? I think I have got enough basic knowledge of electronics now to maybe build one with some help from my sis... a battery-powered amp schematic would be nice.

well, she dosne't build anything big but she's taken classes and she has a lot of resources/books and a bit more knowledge about it than me... My sister is a dwarf... well, not really... but she's kinda short... that's all I'm gonna say... you don't need to know anything else haha... anyways, later on, I hooked a tape player up with an old rca-mount radio thing with speakers I got from my neighbors' trash and It boosted the volume of my voice a lot more.
