Hi, I'm looking at building a Pocket Synthesizer similar to the Music From Outer Space FX synths. I'm just wondering though, if I run this off ONE 9V battery and I had 2 power rails running at the bottom of the box- -would each PCB be given 9V of power (but less battery life)? -would each PCB be given LESS than 9V of power (but battery life is the same)?

they'd both get 9v of power and less battery life.
The only time they'd get less than 9v is when the battery couldn't supply enough power for both circuits. NB This is what happens when a battery is running out of power and ends up a few volts lower than usual before dying completely.

yeah, I talked to a guy in Maplins (electronic store) and advised me that if I did build it, I should run it off D batteries. Anyway, this idea's kinda been ditched for the Black Box Synthesizer. More info @ www.futuresoundsystems.tk
