So, I'm planning on building an aux. spring reverb box for my guitar setup. The idea being that I can kick it and get that "klangy" sound without breaking my amplifier - as well as a more unusual reverb sound.
But I'm not sure about springs:
Tighter or looser wind? Should they be stretched? How long should they be?
All the ones I have seen in my amplifiers are either double or tripple spring - would adding more give me a fuller sound, or just sound wrong.
Ideas anyone?

there are lots of resources online for building your own spring reverb unit. I was researching it earlier this summer because I wanted to build one of my own, but haven't had the time.
